Grande successo per la prima tappa 2014 di Vinitaly International che ha animato nella serata di lunedì 3 il Metropolitan Pavillion di New York alla presenza di oltre 110 cantine italiane affiancate dai principali importatori locali. Nel corso dell’evento, inaugurato con la tradizionale Cerimonia d’apertura alla presenza del console generale della città, Natalia Quintavalle, e del direttore di Veronafiere, Giovanni Mantovani , sono stati presentati i nuovi e strategici strumenti sviluppati al servizio di produttori e importatori: Importer Connect e Vinitaly International Academy. «La presenza di Vinitaly negli Stati Uniti non fa altro che rimarcare il grande successo che il vino italiano sta riscontrando in questi anni nel maggiore mercato di vino a livello mondiale», ha detto Quintavalle. A seguire Mantovani ha presentato il valore dei nuovi progetti marchiati Vinitaly: «Siamo orgogliosi di partire da una delle metropoli più vive e dinamiche del mondo con Vinitaly International Importer Connect, nuova e interessante estensione della nostra visione del business fieristico come alleato per l’affermazione delle aziende produttrici sui mercati internazionali». L’obiettivo è aiutare gli espositori a ottenere il massimo dalla loro partecipazione agli eventi di Vinitaly in Italia e nel mondo, selezionando in anticipo i contatti più interessanti. «L’attività di screening aumenta le possibilità che un incontro si traduca nell’avvio di una partnership concreta con un nuovo importatore, o nell’acquisizione di un nuovo cliente in un’ area strategica.
