The Environmental decision support system (EDSS)
A new tool to support sustainable and efficient PDO/PGI supply chains in Europe developed by the LIFE TTGG project
On 28 June oriGIn and the LIFE TTGG project partners organize the online event “From the LIFE TTGG project the Environmental decision support system (EDSS): A new tool to support more sustainable and efficient PDO PGI supply chains in Europe”. It will take place on zoom from 10h00 AM-12h00 PM CET (simultaneous interpretation in English, French, Italian and Spanish will be available).
During the event will be present the final results of the LIFE TTGG project and the Environmental decision support system (EDSS).The EDSS is a software created to support PDO cheese producers in taking their environmental decisions. It facilitates the calculation of the environmental footprint of packaged products by applying the Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology and identifies at the same time concrete and specific measures to reduce energy consumption. The EDSS software will help producers to optimize their production processes from both, an environmental and an economic point of view.
