Qualivita was born in Siena in 2002 and it is a non-profit Foundation. It was established for want of Tuscany Region, the Provincial Council, the Municipality  and the Chamber of Commerce of Siena. The foundation is under the sponsorship of  the Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, and under the grant of  Monte dei Paschi di Siena Foundation. Nowadays the foundation is chaired by Luigi Verrini and it boasts of a prestigious scientific committee. Qualivita is the link between all characters of agri-food sector and it carries on  projects whose purpose is correlate agri-food productions in particular PDO and PGI one. Moreover the Foundation performs as interlocutor with several European regions concerning products and territory politics and it turns to European consumers through popular and deepening initiatives of technical, scientific, and cultural nature.
